FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention employs injection of oil under high pressure through finely atomizing nozzles so that distributed oil fog is formed opposite to separate nozzles which, under action of rotating scavenging air in cylinder, is forced to collide with wall under action of centrifugal force to form uninterrupted oil film in ring area just before passing of piston ring. Description of design of device for implementing the method is provided. EFFECT: reduced consumption of lubricating oil, reduced wear and provision of uniform wear of cylinder surface. 5 cl, 1 dwg
