FIELD: control of flow rate of liquid or gas. SUBSTANCE: proposed cock has cap and base forming body with inlet and outlet passages. Arranged in body are drive shaft and shut-off member made in form of gate valve. Cock is also provided with electric motor and reduction gear. Drive shaft is made in form of driven gear sector mounted on pivot axle in cap. Drive gear wheel is mounted on axle of electric motor through seal. Gate valve is made in form of circle freely mounted in through hole over periphery of gear sector. Opposite ends of gear sector are provided with damping supports separated from gear sector by means of slots. Damping supports are engageable with mating fixed supports found on cap. Opposite end of gate valve has through hole under teeth of gear sector. Section of through hole is equal to section of inlet and outlet passages. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of shutting-off flow of liquid; enhanced durability; reduced overall dimensions. 2 dwg
