SOLID STATE LASER EMITTER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2225665 C1

FIELD: laser engineering. SUBSTANCE: emitter has nontransmitting and output mirrors forming laser cavity, revolving prism, light shutter, light incorporating reflector in the form of circular cylinder, optical pumping source, first and second active elements. Geometric axes of optical pumping source and active elements are parallel to geometric axis of cylinder. Active elements and optical pumping source are installed so that geometric axes of active elements are equally spaced from geometric axis of optical pumping source and that both geometric axes of active elements and geometric axis of optical pumping source are equally spaced from geometric axis of emitter. First active element, revolving prism, second active element, and light shutter are arranged in tandem between nontransmitting and output mirrors. First and second active elements are made of dibasic crystalline material with their single-type optical axes being parallel to each other and perpendicular to plane crossing geometric axes of first and second active elements. EFFECT: enhanced density of laser emission inside cavity; reduced space requirement of device. 3 cl, 2 dwg
