LASER RADIATION FREQUENCY CONVERTER BASED ON STIMULATED RAMAN SCATTERING Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC H01S3/10

Abstract RU 2424609 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device has a concave mirror of the laser resonator, a Q-factor modulating valve and an active element provided with a lateral pumping source, all optically connected and lying on one optical axis. The device also includes a reflecting prism, having two reflecting faces which form an angle γ between them, and one refracting face which forms equal acute angles with the reflecting faces, and lying at an angle α to the radiation incident from the active medium, which allows simultaneous output of reflected radiation an angle of 180° to the incident radiation without parallel shift and at angle υ to the incident radiation. The refracting face of the prism is coated by a coating with reflection coefficient ρ1≤0.5% for angle of incidence α at wavelength λ1 and with reflection coefficient ρ2 for angle of incidence α at wavelength λ2. For normal incidence of the beam, the reflecting faces are coated with a coating wit reflection coefficient ρ4≥99% at wavelengths λ1 and λ2 and simultaneously with reflection coefficient ρ3≤0.5% for wavelength λ3. Angles γ and α are defined by relationships: γ = 180° - 2 arcsin [(cos(υ/2))/n], α = 90° - υ/2, where υ is the angle between the direction of the beam incident on the prism and the direction in which the beam comes out of the prism; n is the refraction coefficient of the material of the prism.

EFFECT: design of a stable compact device which is safe for the eyes, with high stability of parameters of the output radiation.
