FIELD: laser engineering; optical communications, lasing location, small-size stable lasers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has pumping source with active medium, focusing element, SRS-active medium, all optically coupled and disposed on same optical axis. Pumping source active medium and SRS-active medium are made in the form of integrated active element equipped with lateral pumping source. Active element is clarified at edges simultaneously throughout pumping wavelength of Stokes-Roman scattering and placed in laser resonator formed by focusing element and newly introduced mirror. Focusing element is made in the form of concave mirror reflecting at pumping wavelength and at Stokes scattering wavelength. Newly introduced mirror is designed to reflect at pumping wavelength and is semitransparent for Stokes radiation wavelength. Gate is installed on optical axis between focusing element and active element. Focusing element can be made in the form of concave mirror semitransparent at stimulated Roman scattering wavelength; newly introduced mirror is designed to reflect at both wavelengths; gate is disposed on optical axis between newly introduced mirror and active element butt-end.
EFFECT: enhanced stability, reduced size of device for converting pumping wave of one frequency into coherent wave of other frequency.
