FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed switch contains frog with straight-line working edge of side direction, adjoining rails butt-joined with said edge at angle not exceeding tolerable attack angle of wheelsets onto wing rails and counter-rails of side direction. Counter-rails is installed on track rail opposite to frog. Counter-rail has curvilinear middle section and two straight line branches at ends. Opposite rail is provided with bends in sections of side direction track opposite to butt joints of frog. Said bends are made so that angles between said rail and branches of adjoining counter-rail do not exceed attack angle tolerable for switch. Said sections are limits of curvilinear middle section of counter-rail and its branches adjoining middle section without flanging. EFFECT: reduced cost of manufacture of switch owing to simplification of form of counter-rail and reduction of its length. 2 dwg
