AIR SHOCK WAVE GENERATOR Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2226259 C2

FIELD: testing technology; testing instruments for effect of air shock waves realized at large distances at several powerful explosions. SUBSTANCE: proposed air shock wave generator contains explosive charges located along straight lines at preset distance between them, initiation system ensuring explosion of charges at preset shift in time; generator contains flat charges; each charge is symmetrically secured inside metal bush along its longitudinal axis of symmetry which is perpendicular relative to generatrix of lateral surface of bush and is located along one of straight lines of charge location. Bushes are provided with axial grooves in form of truncated cones whose lesser bases coincide with longitudinal axis of symmetry of bush and larger bases are directed outside. Each explosive charge is closed on both sides by means of covers which are brought into hermetic contact with inner taper surfaces of bush; explosive charges are fastened together by means of destructible coupling whose destructive force exceeds force of action of any adjacent explosive charge during explosion. Explosive charges are kept in cassette. Density of material of covers is lesser than that of material of bush and cassette. EFFECT: extended field of parameters of generator at explosion of minor amount of explosive. 5 dwg
