FIELD: photogrammetry, renovation of digital maps of terrain. SUBSTANCE: method includes visualization of graphical load of digital map of terrain on screen of computer, match of image of terrain with visualized graphical load of digital map of corresponding section of terrain, recording by mobile cursor on screen of computer of changes and additions to graphical load of digital map, formation of files with changes and additions to digital map of terrain on screen of computer. Coordinates of points of reference of images of graphical load of digital map of terrain are converted from its projection to projection of photogrammetric picture of same section of terrain by projection union of points of digital map and photogrammetric picture. Graphical load of digital map in projection of generation of photogrammetric picture of terrain is brought out to screen of computer. Initial photographic image of terrain is optically matched with graphical load of digital map in projection of generated photogrammetric picture. Changes and additions to graphical load of digital map in projection of picture on screen of computer are displayed. Coordinates of points of reference of changes and additions in projection of picture are recorded, coordinates of points of reference of changes and additions from projection of generated picture of terrain are converted to projection of digital map of terrain. Device for implementation of method includes computer with screen for visualization of mobile cursor and digital graphical information, picture holder, mirror with semitransparent reflecting coat and illuminator. Angle between plane of semitransparent reflecting coat and plane of image formation is equal within bounds of specified tolerance to angle included between plane of semitransparent reflecting coat of mirror and object plane of picture holder. Continuation of plane of semitransparent reflecting coat of mirror includes within limits of specified tolerance conditional crossing line of plane of formation of image on screen of computer with continuation of object plane of picture holder. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of device, reduced cost of equipment, decreased expenses on preventive maintenance and repairs of equipment. 2 cl, 1 dwg
