FIELD: non-destructive inspection and diagnostic equipment, particularly for technical condition controlling and diagnostics of liquefied gas tank. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary investigating acoustic tank properties, determining speed of stress wave propagation, wave subsidence ratio, oscillation mode; placing sensing devices onto tank; applying load to tank; recording incoming time of the first spurious acoustic emission pulse, which indicate technical condition of liquefied gas tank; processing acoustic emission signals with recording equipment blockage during signal processing; resuming recording after full damping of oscillations caused by acoustic emission impulse. Acoustic emission signal registration is carried out up to spurious acoustic emission pulse income. EFFECT: increased flaw detection validity and accuracy. 7 dwg
