FIELD: ecology, in particular, processing of wastes and separation of waste mixture into fractions. SUBSTANCE: method involves, according to first version, grinding mixture; performing biological treatment by composting in closed container while providing induced ventilation; separating mixture into combustible and noncombustible fractions; drying mixture during biological processing thereof until moisture content is less than 15%. Separation of mixture into combustible and noncombustible fractions is provided by sieving process followed by pneumatic separation, with resultant noncombustible fraction containing less than 5 wt% of organic substances. According to second version, method involves grinding mixture and separating it into combustible and noncombustible fractions, with mixture being separated until noncombustible fraction contains less than 5 wt% of organic substances; subjecting combustible fraction to biological treatment by composting and stabilizing in closed container while providing induced ventilation.
