FIELD: treatment of household wastes.
SUBSTANCE: mixture of wastes (2) at stage E1 is divided into first fraction of wastes (13) and into residual second fraction of wastes (14). At stage E2, first fraction of wastes (13) is subjected to composting process. First fraction of wastes (13) is subjected to the first composting cycle. Pre-composted waste (2) mixture is subjected to drying. Mixture of dried wastes (2) is divided into one part of heavy wastes (25) and one part of light wastes. Portion of the light wastes is subjected to a second composting cycle and a mixture of treated wastes (28) is obtained. Proposed plant comprises sorting machine and composting plant. Composting plant comprises a first composting compartment, a compartment for drying a mixture of pre-composted wastes (2), means for separation of mixture of dried wastes (2) into part of heavy wastes (25) and part of light wastes, second composting compartment, made with possibility to influence part of light wastes of second composting cycle and to obtain mixture of treated wastes (28).
EFFECT: reduced air and soil contamination.
