FIELD: metal working, namely cutting tools with mechanical fastening of cutting tip. SUBSTANCE: cutting tip of cutter is mounted in seat of holder having on lateral side slit oriented to holder end and forming clamp together with upper and lower clamping jaws designed for engaging with fastening screw. Supporting surfaces of upper and lower clamping jaws and cutting tip are cylindrical ones. Groove is made in mean portion of supporting surface of upper clamping jaw, slit is made on back wall of holder seat. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of mounting cutting tip due to increased clamping effort, less cost of cutter, its improved manufacturability. 4 dwg
