FIELD: tobacco industry; transfer of cigarette packets. SUBSTANCE: method provides transfer of article from one socket on first wheel into corresponding socket on wheel. Both wheels rotate in opposite directions around corresponding first and second axles parallel to each other. In process of article transfer both sockets are kept aligned during preset lapse of time and in preset direction which is changed in time of transfer owing to turning relative to direction perpendicular to first and second axles. Invention makes it possible to transfer articles using less complex and expensive devices providing radial displacement of sockets at reduction of vibrations arising owing to radial displacement of sockets.
