STARTING REGULATOR Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2226753 C2

FIELD: electrical engineering; feeding mercury-free high-pressure sodium vapor lamps. SUBSTANCE: starting regulator for mercury-free sodium vapor lamps, type DNaT BR, has full- wave rectifier connected to supply mains through current-limiting component, capacitor connected in parallel with rectifier output, and gas-discharge lamp connected in parallel with the latter through choke coil. Switching member is connected in parallel with lamp through current limiter or directly. Choke coil inductance and capacitor value are chosen from equation given in description of invention. EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of lamp. 3 cl, 3 dwg
