FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves training muscles in daily sessions by acting upon them with bipolar rectangular symmetric impulses not shorter than 1 ms and of intensity equal to 20-30% from voluntary maximum force produceable by human muscles. Stimulating impulses are sent to electrodes arranged on skin surface on the boundary between peripheral and middle one third of anterior and posterior surface of lower extremity. Stimulating impulse amplitude is synchronously adjusted to achieve equality of muscle contraction force on given extremity preventing from movements in its articulations. The first five training sessions take 0.5-1 h. Each following session is prolonged to reach the value of 6 h per day. The time period is divided into two stages of up to 3 h long each of them. The sessions are carried out before and after accomplishing an additional prophylactic physical training exercise complex. Each following daily muscle training session is carried out with minimum impulse amplitude values of 6-13 V saved in electrostimulator device microcomputer memory. Each following daily muscle training session is carried out with given normal impulse amplitude values of 8-17 V saved in electrostimulator device microcomputer memory. Each following daily muscle training session is carried out with stimulating impulse amplitude values retained in electrostimulator device microcomputer memory and having the same values as those of previous session.
