FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves pneumatic-mechanical stimulation of support zones of right and left legs involving pulsed mechanical pressure on heel and metatarsal support zones. The mechanical pressure on the support zones of feet makes 20-40 kPa, and the pulse length can make 800-500 msec The stimulation procedure takes 15 to 30 minutes, one procedure a day for 7 to 15 days. Slow and moderate pace stimulation is also possible.
EFFECT: method provides normalising the excitation and inhibition processes in the central nervous system with reducing muscular rigidity and spasticity, developing functional connections in the brain, new acquired motor reflexes and compensatory adaptations, improving the motion coordination at the highest possible physiological value of the mode of exposure on this group of patients.
