FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing patient to high power open electric arc excited between two electrodes. The electrodes are connected to power supply source via throttle, rectifier, transformer and oscillator. One electrode is carbon rod and the other one is a piece of ferro-manganese alloy containing manganese 20-10%, carbon 5-2%, phosphorus 0.2-0.09%, silicon 0.7-0.05%, chromium 0.01-0.05%, nickel 0.03-0.05% and iron 90-70%. Electrodes are mounted in the inside of the reflector housing manufactured as truncated cone. The reflector is fixed on upright with articulated unit. The arc is controlled by automatically or manually keeping distance between the electrodes constant. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 2 cl, 3 dwg
