FILTER FOR PURIFICATION OF A LIQUID Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: liquid purification in different branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a filter for purification of a liquid, that may be used in different branches of industry and in a municipal economy, for instance to purify the petroleum-containing wastes of any degree of viscosity with mechanical impurities before their burning in a furnace of a boiler. The offered filter includes a filtering member made in the form of a cylindrical spiral, that provides heating of the purified liquid (decreasing its viscosity) and mounted. The member is mounted capable to rotate around its axis and to change an angle of inclination to horizon, that allows to purify liquids with different degree of pollution and practically any degree of viscosity. Feeding of steam onto the filtering member and usage of the spiral instead of a lattice excludes clogging of the filter caused by sticking of fine solid particles. EFFECT: the invention allows to purify liquids of practically any degree of pollution and viscosity. 2 dwg
