FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed spray tip for diesel engine nozzle has body with conical seat accommodating needle with throttling-and-locking cone whose angle exceeds that of seat angle. Ring groove on surface of throttling-and-locking cone divides the surface onto locking-and- throttling beads. Part of throttling bead of needle is made cylindrical with diameter less than diameter of fuel feed channel of nozzle orifices. Flat in form of ellipse is made on cylindrical surface, smaller axis of ellipse is less than diameter of cylindrical surface. Larger axis of ellipse is located along axis of needle and encloses cylindrical and throttling surfaces of needle over length. EFFECT: increased service life of spray tip. 1 dwg
