FIELD: aeronautical engineering; systems of start and assisted air start of auto-gyro rotors of rotary-wing flying vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed system includes gas source connected with pneumatic drive by means of pipe line through control unit; pneumatic drive is connected with shaft of auto-gyro rotor through transmission . Pneumatic drive and transmission are rigidly mounted relative to axis of rotation of shaft of auto-gyro rotor; part of pipe line is flexible. Internal combustion engine may be used as gas source. Control unit is made in form of distributor (slide valve-type distributor, in particular) with additional outlet communicated with atmosphere. Engine of auto-gyro may be used as internal combustion engine. Turbo-supercharger of internal combustion engine may be also used as gas source; control unit may be made in form of distributor provided with additional inlet communicated with atmosphere and additional outlet connected to inlet of internal combustion engine; use may be made of turbo-supercharger of auto-gyro engine. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and safety of flights; facilitated procedure of start and assisted air start of rotor; enhanced efficiency; reduced take- off run. 5 cl, 3 dwg
