FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; steel-making process. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes blowing the melt with reagents in form of granules containing the following components, mass-%: calcium, 2.5-3.5; barium, 14-16 and the remainder being aluminum; blowing is performed in two cycles in inert gas jet. The melt is blown with neutral gas between cycles. First cycle is performed from beginning of blowing till expiration of 0.25-0.30 of total time of blowing at delivery of granules in the amount of 0.3-0.6 of total amount. Second cycle is performed upon expiration of 0.7-0.8 of total time of blowing till its completion by delivery of remaining amount of granules. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of refining due to preliminary de-oxidation accompanied by forming of easily removable phosphides and sulfides of active elements. 1 tbl, 1 ex
