FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of out-of-furnace processing of liquid metal in vacuum comprises circulation evacuation and simultaneous addition of barium carbonate as refining material into metal bulk in oxygen flow, deoxidation of metal with granulated aluminum fed with neutral gas flow in amount of 0.65-0.70 kg/t, and subsequent introduction, with neutral gas flow, of barium carbonate/granulated aluminum mixture used at ratio (8.7-9.2):(0.9-1.1).
EFFECT: increased degree of refinement during processing due to creation of phosphorus compounds not dissociating at temperature of steel-smelting conversion, which prevents rephosphorization and extensive desulfuration.
