EXPLOSION-PROOF POWER-ACTUATED MECHANISM FOR PIPELINE VALVES Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC F16K31/05 

FIELD: valve manufacture.

SUBSTANCE: explosion-proof-actuated mechanism has electric motor, manual actuator, and reduction units. Mechanism is provided with irreversible clutch that has holder accommodating cranks kinematically coupled with reduction units. Rollers are disposed in one of cranks so that their axes are below axis of revolution of irreversible clutch. Ball-and-spring assembly is fitted in slot of other crank. Power reduction unit is kinematically coupled with output shaft. Maximum torque limiting device has worm held down by two battens externally engaging two gear wheels with torsion bars inside them which are in mesh with gear wheels through their slits.

Torsion bars are secured by means of cams and pressed to one end pre twisted by levers on other end. Microswitches are fixed on mechanism case for engaging cam lobes.

EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities of poweractuated mechanism.
