FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: femtosecond laser range finder incorporates laser radiator, receiving and transmitting optical channels, optical adjustable delay line with indicator of delay value, photodetector. Laser radiator comes in the form of source of isolated femtosecond pulses whose radiation goes to recirculator from which output major part of radiation is fed into transmitting channel and another part of it goes to optical adjustable delay line. Range finder is supplemented with ultra-high-speed switch to which input measurement pulses are fed from receiving optical channel and optical adjustable delay line, measurement pulses are fed from output of ultra-highspeed switch into photodetector which output is connected to unit controlling optical delay line.
