FIELD: electrovacuum engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed system designed for building chronographic image intensifiers used to analyze optical processes in picosecond and femtosecond bands depends for its operation on matching motion speed of deflecting-signal wavefront with motion speed of electron beam which makes it possible to avoid passband restriction due to transit- time effect and on the fact that equal wave impedances are attained at sections incorporating slots with dielectric inserts. EFFECT: enlarged system passband for image intensifiers with sensitivity of the latter maintained at desired level. 1 cl, 2 dwg
