FIELD: reworking of wastes of metalworking process in form of metal chips, mainly wastes of titanium alloys. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes crushing and cleaning of chips, cold molding of chip briquettes, laying briquettes in metal capsule which is sealed-up by welding, for example; briquettes are subjected to hot deformation to relative density of no less than 0.95. Prior to cold molding of briquettes, chips are subjected to degassing and hot deformation is performed molding followed by break of capsule bottom and extrusion of chip mass through hole of matrix of press outfit; after extrusion of blanks, they are subjected to annealing and additional hot deformation, rolling for example. Chips are crushed to size of particles of 20 mm and lesser. Cleaning of chips from solid and liquid non-metallic particles is performed by washing in solution at temperature of 60-80 C; solution contains the following components, g/l: soda ash, 30-35; trisodium phosphate, 15-20. After washing, chips are subjected to drying at temperature of 150-200 C. Cleaning the chips from metallic particles is effected by magnetic separation method at intensity of magnetic field of 100-200 A/m and additional magnetic separation at intensity of magnetic field of 1200-1500 A/m.
