FIELD: weaponry, applicable in small arms. SUBSTANCE: the baffler has components for mutual suppression of counter flows of powder gases, the above components are made for their placement on the weapon of the "bullpap" arrangement and represent an elbow gas pipe connecting the outlet of the isolating housing of the perforated section of the weapon detachable barrel and the inlet in the breech of the baffler and the inlet in the breech of the baffler muzzle housing, the elbow gas pipe is located inside of the thermoinsulating fire control handle with its outlet from the handle end face, and the baffler muzzle housing has a set of shaped gas-guide plates for formation of counter flows of powder gases flowing out from the outlet of the elbow gas pipe and, respectively, from the muzzle opening of the weapon bore. The elbow gas pipe is made of two components joined by a threaded flange coupling, and one of the components is made integral with the isolating housing of the perforated detachable barrel. Besides, the set of shaped gas-guide plates represents a detachable unit, and the muzzle housing is made for provision of the function of the weapon fore grip and a carrier for the sight bed of the weapon. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of the baffler and provided use of it in the weapon of the "bullpap" arrangement. 4 cl, 3 dwg
