FIELD: weaponry, applicable in mufflers for small-shot gun of the "bullpap" arrangement.

SUBSTANCE: the muffler has a body and is positioned above the barrel and gun receiver, that has a muzzle adapter for separation of the sabot from the shell, provision is made for a gas transitional branch pipe connecting the cavity of the muffler body and the bore, the muzzle section of the body projects forward beyond the barrel and has a muzzle end opening with a detachable end cap, inner components are positioned inside the body, they provide separation and braking of powder gases, provision is made for a gas outlet pipe connection located vertically for discharge of powder gases downwards, the muffler body is provided with non-detachable carrying members for installation of auxiliary instruments and devices on the gun.

EFFECT: enhanced operating characteristics of the small-shot gun.
