FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment for corn harvesters. SUBSTANCE: spadix separating unit has two grooved rolls positioned for rotation in opposite directions with respect to one another and spadix separating plates arranged above said rolls. Feeding chains with lugs for conveying of separated spadices are arranged above spadix separating plates. Shafts and pins of feeding chain sprockets are fitted with pulleys and endless belts put thereon. Pulleys are arranged above any of chain contours. Stalks introduced into unit by feeding chain lugs are urged to roll by rolls, which rotate in opposite directions. Corn spadices are embraced by endless belt contours and removed from stalks. EFFECT: reduced damage to spadices and improved quality of separating spadices from stalks. 2 dwg
