FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for separation of corn cobs, which can be used in agriculture. Device comprises a pair of corrugated rollers, snapping plates (4) and circuits of feeding chains (5) with tabs (7). Feed chains (5) are arranged in pairs in one plane with clearance for passage of stems, and tabs (7) of one circuit are located in the middle of spacing of tabs of adjacent circuit. Tabs (7) of each chain circuit are equipped with inserts (11). Each of inserts (11) is made in the form of a pin of rectangular section with a bulge at the end, in which one of the sides of the bulge is skewed at an angle α=40-45°. Wherein every pin (11) extends beyond edges of appropriate tab (7) to be directed along its configuration with its skewed side. Due to arrangement in tabs (7) of inserts (11) in the form of pins protruding by their bulges beyond edges of tabs, their length is increased along trajectory of movement of tabs of chain of adjacent contour. At the same time small corn cobs are gripped, which can be transported to the auger of the device on a par with other cobs.
EFFECT: device provides increased throughput capacity of the harvester, which is reduced due to slippage of small maize cobs between feeding chains of the device for separation of cobs.
