FIELD: shipbuilding; amphibian ice-breaking hovercraft breaking ice cover by resonance method. SUBSTANCE: proposed ice-breaking hovercraft has hull with external flexible guard supplied by fan and internal flexible guard made in form of skirt; area of internal guard is lesser than that of external guard. Inner flexible guard is supplied with the aid of the high-pressure additional compressor. To ensure stability, rigid receiver of ship is provided with closing passages fitted with adjustable gate valves for escape of air in upward direction through upper deck; these passages are supplied by fan with disconnected air supply to external flexible guard.
