FIELD: mechanical engineering+ADs- internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary engine has housing with press-fitted sleeve and cooling chambers, dividing gate which divides rotary space into working and non-working chambers, working medium supply elements and use working medium let out elements. Rotor is made cylindrical. Radially movable spring-loaded insert with taper is fitted in rotor slot. Said insert forms by one side, together dividing gate, working chamber of engine. Cavity is made to cushion stroke of insert against housing sleeve. EFFECT: improved and simplified design of rotor, increased efficiency owing to decrease of wear of contacting elements. 3 cl, 1 dwg
