ROTARY ENGINE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2232278 C2

FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rotary internal combustion engines and drive engines using steam or compressed air as working medium. Proposed rotary engine contains two or several sections, each including cylindrical housing and rotor. Said rotary engine has also working medium supply and let-out members and compression chamber. Rotors of all sections are installed on one shaft with displacement through definite angle relative to each other. Separating gate in contact with rotor surface separates working medium supply and waste medium let-out members and it divides rotor space into two chambers. Rotor is made with working chamber in form of cavity of any form in rotor body provided with walls limiting volume of working chamber at rotor sides. Rotor is installed with eccentricity relative to axis of rotary engine, and its configuration, as to profile, is close to circumference.

EFFECT: improved design of working chamber, configuration of rotor profile and working medium pressure supply members delivering working medium into working chamber, reduced noise of exhaust gases, increased efficiency of engine.
