FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drive engines using steam or compressed air as working medium. Proposed rotary engine contains at least two sections whose profiles rotors are installed on one axle with angular displacement relative to each other. Separating shutter and at least one sealing member in contact with working surface of rotor are installed in space of housing of each section. Rotor is provided with working chamber made in form of cavity on its working surface to form side walls limiting length of cavity along axis of rotor. Engine s provided with outlet channels made in housing and located before sealing members in direction of rotation of rotor.
EFFECT: simplified design of engine members, increased efficiency in operation, improved ecological characteristics.
