BALL VALVE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: pipeline valves for shutting off and pressure regulation in miscellaneous pipelines in power, industrial, and civil construction. SUBSTANCE: cock valve has body with two half-molds produced by injection molding of polymeric material, best of all polypropylene. Half-molds accommodate shut-off member, its fluoroplastic saddles and rod with sealing rings. Shut-off member is made of nickel plated brass in the form of hollow ball with duct. Fluoroplastic saddles enclose shut-off member over perimeter. Ball cock body is arranged on its opposite ends with ducts. Ducts have their inner surface in the form of truncated cone turning to cylindrical surface of smaller diameter abutting against half-molds by its butt end at length smaller than diameter of large base. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, service life, facilitated manufacture of cock and its easy connection to polypropylene tubes. 3 cl, 1 dwg
