FIELD: valve production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pipe stop valve with stoppers. Ball valve comprises a housing in which a spherical rotatable stopper is associated with the drive of its rotation and a seal with a pressure element made of an elastically deformed material. Gasket is calibrated in a radius of a spherical plug, the surface of which is contacted by a segment of a sheet metal-fluoroplastic material, created with the use of a powder mixture containing 50–70 wt. % of polytetrafluoroethylene and 30–50 wt. % of coke-graphite flour, to fill the pores of the baked porous bronze layer, with a vulcanized bonded to the back side of the pressure element in the form of a ring of elastomer trapezoidal shape, while the ring is made with a bead along the cylindrical surface from the side of the movement of liquids with a height of at least 1–2 mm.

EFFECT: use of this combined saddle seal design provides a high wear resistance of the sealing element contacting the surface of the spherical plug, reliable and qualitative distribution of the pressing pressure due to the glued pressure element of the elastomer, simplification of the design and metal consumption of the ball valve.
