FIELD: engineering elements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shutoff pipeline fittings. Ball valve comprises a body, located in the passage channel whereof is a ball plug with a through medium passage channel, linked with the rotation drive thereof, and combined seals located on both sides of the ball plug, said seals consisting of a seat made in the form of a ring with a polygonal cross section and an elastic element located in the groove made on the side of the ball valve body. The seat surface on the side of the ball plug is made at an angle α=25 to 35° into the seat from the end thereof. The seat surface on the side of the opposite seat end is made at an angle β=10 to 20° into the seat from the end thereof. The outer surface of the seat from the rectangular groove to the end on the side of the ball plug is made at an angle γ=10 to 20° outward to the valve body.
EFFECT: higher reliability of operation due to the maintained constant contact pressure on the coupled surfaces and higher operational life of the valve with a simultaneous increase in the working parameters (temperature and pressure) of the pumped medium, as well as possibility of pumping media of any level of aggressiveness.
