FIELD: electric contacts for low-voltage switching devices such as contactors, magnetic starters, and switches. SUBSTANCE: during production of workpiece its auxiliary layer on side opposing working layer is covered with additional layer of silver-copper compound press-fitted thereon; proportion of compound components is as follows: copper, 25 to 75 mass percent; silver, the rest. Additional layer thickness is 20 m and more. In the course of laminated workpiece sintering compound of this layer shrinks to a much greater extent than that of working layer and compensates for tensile strain on process layer surface thereby eliminating workpiece deformation and microcracks in working layer during subsequent rolling. EFFECT: improved quality of laminated electric contact. 4 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 1 ex
