FIELD: milk filtering equipment in milk industry. SUBSTANCE: filter has casing and filtering member. Casing is made in the form of sleeve and bowl-shaped base. Casing parts are connected with one another through quick-detachable connection. Inlet branch pipe and liquid discharge branch pipe are fixed to base. Filtering member is made-double-stepped and is composed of coarse and fine cartridges mounted on common base one inside another. Each cartridge is made in the form of carcass onto which filtering surface is coiled, said filtering surface being made in the form of wire spring of triangular section. Cartridge filtering surfaces differ from one another only by sizes of filtering gaps. Filtering surface of fine filtering cartridge has filtering gap of 0.070 mm plus and minus 0.002 mm, and filtering gap of coarse filter cartridge is 0.140-0.180 mm, i.e., ratio of filtering gaps of first and second steps is below 2.5:1. Each cartridge is equipped with hermetically sealed cover fixed on tail part of inlet branch pipe by nut. Gasket is used for sealing sleeve and casing base junction. Other joints are sealed with the use of special process. EFFECT: simplified construction, convenient operation and reduced production costs. 2 cl, 2 dwg
