FIELD: milk industry. SUBSTANCE: filtering member has carcass and filtering surface. Carcass is made in the form of cylinder or polygon and is composed of longitudinal rods rigidly connected with one another with their ring-like bases. Filtering surface is made in the form of stainless steel wire spring of triangular section with filtering gap between spring coils, said spring being put onto carcass. Gap between filtering member spring coils at milk inlet side is equal to 0.070 plus and minus 0.002 mm and is increasing toward milk exit side. Ratio of filtering gap area and spring wall area is at least 1:20. Spring wall edges defining filtering gap are made sharpened. EFFECT: convenient usage, reduced production costs and prolonged service life of filtering member. 2 dwg
