FIELD: liquid filtering equipment, in particular, milk filtering equipment in milk industry. SUBSTANCE: filter has casing made in the form of stepped plate with inlet and outlet branch pipes, sleeve and filtering member positioned in sleeve. Sleeve and casing base are joined with one another by bolted connection. Filtering member is made double-stepped and has outer and inner filtering cartridges mounted one inside another. Carcass of each cartridge is made in the form of squirrel cage onto which spring-shaped filtering surface is coiled, said filtering surface being defined by stainless steel wire spring of triangular section with filtering gap between spring coils. Ratio of filtering gaps between first and second step spring coils is below 2.5:1. Filtering cartridges have common cover and rest upon stepped casing base. Filtering member and casing base junction sites are sealed by cylindrical surfaces of cooperating base steps and rings of filtering cartridge carcasses on which entrance faces are formed. Longitudinal movement mechanism for filtering member is fitted between sleeve bottom and filtering cartridge cover, said mechanism being made in the form of screw pair, whose one part is fixed on cover and other part is mounted for rotation in hermetically sealing relationship on sleeve bottom. Screw pair is rotated by wrench. EFFECT: reduced production cost, convenient operation and prolonged service life of filter. 2 cl, 3 dwg
