AGGREGATE FOR MAKING METAL POWDER BY SPRAYING MELTS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely aggregates for producing powders of metals and their alloys by spraying melts with use of compressed gas. SUBSTANCE: aggregate includes melting furnace; jet; spraying chamber; dust collection system having cyclone, hose or liquid filter; hopper for collecting large size particle of powder and in addition aggregate includes sorting separator. Spraying chamber is in the form of water cooled variable cross section tube having relation of diameters at inlet and outlet of tube in range 1 : (0.7 ÷ 0.3) and length of tube consisting 5 -10 values of its mean diameter.
