FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to devices for production of metal powder compositions from metals and alloys with melting point up to 2000 °C. Device comprises billet loading chamber, melting chamber, spraying column connected in lower part with hopper for receiving powder, inductor for heating billet, spraying nozzle, cyclone for separation of fine fraction of powder, high-frequency suction fan for waste gas suction, gas supply system, cooling system of all parts of device and evacuation system connected to loading chamber, melting chamber and spraying column. In the loading chamber there is a workpiece fastening mechanism equipped with a cooled quick-clamping device with channels for supply of cooling liquid. Gas feed system includes channels withstanding pressure higher than 200 MPa and is made with possibility to supply several gases separately. Nozzle comprises an annular chamber and a channel for gas supply to an insert from non-magnetic material arranged in the nozzle centre, forming an annular gap with the nozzle. On the insert surface there are guiding screw grooves arranged at angle from 10 to 60 degrees to the nozzle axis. Inductor is made of copper hollow tube bent along spiral with annular working part, at that inner diameter of upper coil is by 2–4 mm more than diameter of workpiece, diameter of middle turn is by 4–6 mm less than diameter of workpiece, diameter of bottom turn is by 12–20 mm less than diameter of sprayed workpiece. Ends of inductor form eight of relative to main circular working part.
EFFECT: obtaining metal powder composition with particle size of up to 110 mcm and yield of such particles of not less than 40 %.
