FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway flat cars for carrying large-size self-propelled machines and methods of their loading. Proposed method includes jacking up of end part of flat from side of loading, uncoupling of flat car from running bogie and rolling it out, lowering of end part of flat car by means of jacks to contact with rails of track and centering relative to track and centering relative to track, setting loading ramp in working position from side of end face of flat car and moving machine by its power onto flat car. Then loading ramp is in traveling position, end part of flat car is raised by jacks to preset height and running bogie is returned to its place, jacks are returned in initial position and self-propelled machine is fastened on flat car. Proposed railway vehicle contains platform 1 on running bogies 2 with self-propelled machine loading ramps 3 secured on platform from side of end faces, two pairs of jacks 5 mounted between running bogies on frame, rod of each jack being provided with support member for engaging with rail of track. End parts of platform are provided with centering support members engaging with rails of track when end part of platform is in lowered down position. EFFECT: increased safety. 5 cl, 10 dwg
