RAILWAY CRANE RECONSTRUCTION WORK Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; boom cranes for materials handling and reconstruction work. SUBSTANCE: proposed railway crane has platform body on running bogies, slewing gear, turntable with rotary telescopic boom and hook holder, and diesel- electric set. Platform body has extensible turnable outriggers with hydraulic jacks. Crane is furnished with detachable supporting pyramids of different type-sizes to be installed for engagement with railway bed. Each outrigger is installed for being fixed in position by re-placeable detachable brace. With crane operating, diesel-electric set plays the part of counterweight. With crane in travelling position, hook holder can be arranged on any end part of platform body. Each end part of platform body is furnished with pit provided with hook holder fasteners. Current connector is mounted between turntable and platform body to provide connection of external power consumers to crane. EFFECT: reduced time taken for rigging out the crane, improved convenience in operation, decreased mass and overall dimensions of crane. 2 cl, 6 dwg
