FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes destruction of pit edges at intermediate stage together with building new pit edges formed by three-throw shelves with parameters, acceptable for stability, and separated by safety berms, forming of transporting crossovers and construction of turning areas, at stage of finishing, placement of transporting communications at portion of quarry field along one of ore bodies, finishing of quarry up to projected depth with ore blocks left intact, stage-wise forming of pouring out crossover in excavated space up to crossover getting adjacent to boundary contour of quarry, and finishing of ore blocks. At intermediate stage three-throw shelves are built of convex-broken profile, from turning area ring-shaped transporting crossovers of opposite direction are made, ore blocks finishing is performed layer-wise due to closing crossovers built along ore body, at finishing stages at places of steep falls of ore body, pit edge is built by extra-high shelves.
