HAND-HELD TILLAGE TOOL Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural equipment, in particular, hand-held equipment for tillage of agricultural land and country house plots.

SUBSTANCE: hand-held tillage tool has working tool connected through holder to shank and made in the form of U-shaped bracket with cutting members attached thereto by fastening members. Cutting members are made in the form of two plated knives formed as shares fixed in parallel with one another on U-shaped bracket. Each plated knife is composed of upper flat part and lower curved part. Flat parts of knives are aligned with vertical walls of U-shaped bracket. Outer sides of curved part of each knife are converging at an angle of 30-45 deg to define wedge and are sharpened to form cutting edges. Holder is made in the form of faceplate with openings for receiving of fastening members and is rigidly attached to horizontal part of U-shaped bracket. Holder is arranged at an angle of 20-50 deg to horizontal part of U-shaped bracket in horizontal plane and at an angle of 30-60 deg to horizontal part of U-shaped bracket in vertical plane.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation and increased efficiency of

hand-held tillage tool.
