FIELD: industrial inorganic synthesis.
SUBSTANCE: method is designed generation of oxygen in air regeneration systems. Basic calcium superoxide is prepared by dehydration of calcium peroxide at pressure 10 to 10-2 mm Hg and starting temperature 0-10оС, which is further raised in the dehydration process to 140-160оС at the same pressure or, according to another embodiment, dehydration is accomplished at atmospheric pressure and temperature from 0 to 250оС in a flow of dried carbon dioxide-free gas. Diperoxo solvate of calcium peroxide may be, before dehydration, treated with cooled anhydrous polar liquid. Dehydration may further be effected in presence of water vapor absorbent. Purity of resulting basic calcium superoxide Ca(OH)O2 is 70-76%.
EFFECT: increased productivity of process so allowing it to be carried out under industrial-scale conditions.
