FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with a nonferrous metallurgy and intended for the enterprises engaged in processing of oxygenated nickeliferous ores. Technical result of the invention is an increase of a degree of extraction of good nickel and a cobalt from converted slags. The method provides for preparation of the charge drossy and reductant, its feeding in a melting unit, smelting of the charge with formation of a ready alloy and a dump slag and their release from the unit. In the capacity of reductant aluminum slag is used, and the ready alloy has the following contents of ingredients (in mass %): nickel - 5-20, cobalt - 0.5-1.5, iron - up to 80, impurities - the rest. Smelting is conducted if execute in the arc steel melting furnace. Preparation of a charge is executed by crush of the converter slag and its mixing with aluminum slag and lime. A ready alloy before release is heated up to temperature of 1550-1600°С.

EFFECT: the invention allows to increase the volume of extraction of good nickel and a cobalt from converted slags.
