FIELD: production of elements of the heat-exchange apparatuses in engineering industry.

SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a cellular - framed metal material and a method of its production, that may be used at production of elements of the heat-exchange apparatuses as well as in production of heat-conducting carrying agents for catalysts, and also at manufacturing elements of neutralizers of exhaust gases. Presented is a cellular - framed metal material including the uniform-sized discrete spiral-type wire elements made in the form of volumetric figures of revolution and-or as polygonal prisms from the fine and thick - wire metal materials. The wire diameter is chosen with a ratio from 2:1 up to 4:1. The bulk porosity of the material makes from 60 up to 92 %. The method of production provides for mixing of the discrete wire elements in the mold till formation of a conglomerate, its roasting in an oxidizing atmosphere at 600-1000 °С within 1-3 hours, repeated roasting in a non-oxidizing atmosphere at 1100-1150°С within 1-3 hours, refrigerating with a speed of 20-50 C °/minute. Technical result of the invention is production of a material with high tenacity on compression and provision of high quality by introduction of an operation by an operation control at all stages of the process.
